I guess it’s true what they say: your biggest enemy is yourself. xD
Addictions be like: I'm your fault 👁️ 👄 👁️
It’s been a while. You’ve been busy?
Lol 🤣
They finally get to see that hanabi fireworks together with a kiss
Sheesh ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
You need to have great endurance alright...( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
They kissed knowing that they're step siblings
At least there not related lol
Yeah
yeah fr
It's fine lol 😂
That blessed softness is about to make something in Mizuto hard ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
It boost his aim in hitting that teddy bear prize
What kind of hard ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
"If it isn't blood related, then it's free to be dated" - Master Oogway
Hahahahhaha sheeesh 😆 fucking yeah
Lol😂
And then there's Chikuma at 19:33
Chikuma be like: "I'm going to chase out the guy that's currently occupying the place in your heart."
XDD
Something about it really didn't sound right though.
"Don't look at me as a girlfriend... but as your sister. Now kiss me"
Well, that aside, I cannot believe that in this nice and wholesome scene for some odd reason (maybe the trauma from watching) it, the music, reminded me of yosuga no sora. Well that and probably Yume's assertion that she's his sister. OR, that she's his bride. Either works really...
God my mind is scarred.
Oh, and another thing I noticed was Yume has a larger chest than her mom. Well she also appears slightly taller too.
*confused boner intensifies*
That last line is such a set up! There are many highly applicable (and highly suspect) responses, so I will just say..it depends on what the target is. XD
Is Ayai her last or first name? Because everyone still calls her Yume, but at school they refer to her as Irido-chan so I'm confused. I thought the Japanese always calls people by their last name first unless they're real friends? Is Irido her adopted name by way of marriage?
I'm not familiar with Japanese honorifics hence my question.
Yume is her given name.
Irido and Ayai are family name.
When you are close to someone, you refer to them by their name.
If you aren't that close enough to refer them by their given name, you refer to them by their family name.
Thanks for your input and lending a machete to my intellectual thicket.
I find different cultures intriguing; there is definitely a language barrier.
In Western culture whether or not we're close with someone we tend to call persons by their given name, that is of course assuming they don't give us a nickname to refer to them by. Well I probably shouldn't say that as an absolute statement, I guess it just depends on the individual and how they were raised / etiquette.
So in the Japanese culture where honorifics are used both to convey respect and honor, and Western culture uses Ms. , Mr. , Mrs. , Madam, Ma'am, Sir etc. is that the Japanese equivalent i.e -chan, -san, -kun?
That's right.
San is equal to Mr, Mrs, Madam, Sir, Ma'am
kun refers to your junior
for japanese their last name/surname is at the front so originally she was Ayai Yume, but now is called Irido Yume due to her mother remarrying; iirc unless the father is a foreigner the household will almost always take the father's last/surname unless for other reasons(in some anime/manga the character might take the mother's name due to more prominent influence or the father either pass away or have commit a crime). there are times where ppl will flip their name ard depending on the situation.
Oh that's her last name I thought that's her nickname
Man thank you for your answer.
Most of what you said I already knew but was a little bit confused with the Eastern cultured way of doing things.
For instance in the previous episode Mizuto called her 'Ayai,' and since they're siblings by way of their parents' marriage, I assumed that they were speaking informally so that was her first name that Mizuto had addressed her by, I see now my mistake.
Thanks for the clarification.
I'm no longer uncultured in that regard; in Japanese culture, the surname is always first. Got it.
Cheers!
When Mizuto was calling Yume Ayai, it was him recalling the feelings he has for her.
For all those who don't know: there is no Made in Abyss episode today
Good time to stack up on snacks and drinks for the finale then!
Which means I can just watch Andor on Disney+! XD
Sad...
So last ep next week?
yea, 1h long last ep (well more like 45 mins but still it will be a double ep)
1h of beautiful and serene depression
I don’t think the next episode is going to be “serene” at all though. 😅
Fingers crossed lol... 🤞
Oh okay then
Which is a blessing in disguise, IMO. Since the othe shows in the same slot are all ending today.
Good news because I still haven't watched the season 2 And movie
Oh thanks for telling me
So Yume has finally resolved herself to be true to her feelings. A bit sad that this ended just as things are starting to get interesting.
Lol, that confrontation between Higashira and Kawanami…it never even occurred to me that they’d never met until now. But you know how it goes in anime: characters that always bicker with each other often end up together. Do I see a potential ship forming? xD
At last there was some character development for Yume
BTW,
Is it just me or was Chikuma a bit jealous when Madoka asked Yume how things went last night
And it took 12 episodes too, well judging on how some some character didn't have development for seasons, she is still okay
Those two characters finally met in this episode
Chikuma has feeling for Yume XD
He's been showing it ever since the first episode he appeared that he has a crush on Yume xDD
chikuma is a boy and Yume is his first love. I guess he found out that his first love loves somebody else
i don't really read light novels, but i guess Chikuma is not a boy? I can't really say for sure, japanese drama roles are so confusing.
Yume Irido: "I will chase out the girl that's currently occupying the place in your heart."
Yume Ayai: "Bring it on, B*tch!"
Mizuto got blessed by the softness at the shooting gallery. I can't believe the guy managed to hit the target in that situation.
